unity stamp co. bachelor contest

Unity Stamp Co. is having a contest for the next 7 weeks called the Unity Bachelor Contest. Read more about it here and how you could win hundreds of dollars in prizes!

This was my first submission for the 1st week. The challenge was to use an item with bling or shine, patterned paper, 2 buttons and unity stamps.

Lately, I've really gotten into stamping and embossing so this was a fun project!

I clear embossed the stamped heart from the "be Owl mine" stamp set from Unity and also clear embossed several layers onto the chipboard house and edged the card in chalk ink and copper embossing powder.

The American Crafts Zing embossing powder is my favorite because it holds so much detail and melts just like butter. They have a great line of metallics, opaque colors and glitter powders. You must try it!

"forever friends" card
supplies: unity stamp set "be Owl mine", maya road chipboard house, october afternoon patterned paper, colorbox dark brown chalk ink, pink paislee alphabet stickers, kaisercrafts gems, american crafts zing clear & copper embossing powder.

silly boy

supplies used: Fancy Pants Kraft Kuts "That boy" paper, Heidi Swapp giant ghost clock, my minds eye diecut title, 7gypsies word stickers, Teresa Collins "remember this" rubber stamp, american crafts zing black embossing powder, ranger inks.

A funny story to share behind this layout: We were at my daughter's school open house & book fair and my 2 year old son watched her picked out a few books. He let me know that he also wanted to get a new book and then while "reading" it said in his most teenager-y tone of voice "Mooooom, I'm trying to read!" when I was attempting to get his attention. I found it humorous but I'm sure I won't find this funny if he tries this attitude when he is older!
I used two of my new favorite products: Fancy Pants Kraft kuts paper and Teresa Collins rubber stamps. I highly recommend them - great quality and very versatile!

dreaming of the beach

supplies used: BasicGrey Marrakech collection, Making Memories velvet alphabet stickers, BasicGrey rubons, chipboard & opalines, Prima caboodles flowers.

We didn't get to take our annual beach vacation this year since we're saving to finish our basement so this layout helped me to reminisce!

The deep blues & oranges of the Marrakech collection from BasicGrey are so amazing.
