tone on tone punching

Have you noticed this trend? I'm loving all the tone on tone punching I'm seeing in galleries lately. I decided to try it with this favorite photo of my kids on vacation in 2008. (I have it framed and hanging in my hallway).

I used my new favorite punch the Martha Stewart Doily lace double edge border punch. It is a MUST have. So versatile and amazing.
I used sketch #47 at Inspired Blueprints and items from Noel Mignon's Playdate kit and Studio Calico's Granny's Cupboard kit.

products used: Lily Bee Whimsy paper, Pink Paislee Queen bee brads, October Afternoon Fly a Kite journaling cards, Websters pages Lullaby lane trim, Prima Woodstock flowers, Martha Stewart doily lace double edge punch, Jenni Bowlin alpha rub-ons, My Minds Eye transparency title.

good friends - Sassafras Nerdy bird collection!

This page came together really fast with the adorable Sassafras Nerdy bird papers & stickers from the Noel Mignon playdate kit.
The papers go so far because they are double-sided and have a separate border on the bottom. I only used 2 different papers on this layout!
It was my last hurrah from this 2010 NSD weekend!
Warning: If you are looking for the Dear Lizzy Fireberry puffy alphabet thickers - I am sorry but they are ALL in my stash because I have snatched up every last one! They are DELICIOUS. I need more ;)
products used: Sassafras Lass Nerdy Bird Cheery & Sprightly papers & Nerdy Bird Sweet treats stickers, American Crafts Dear Lizzy Fireberry puffy thickers, Daisy D's Victorian border rub-on tape, October Afternoon Fly a Kite label stickers.

joy

I hope JOY is a theme for the rest of your 2010 too. Some more Easter photos with one of my favorite color combo's: teal and fuschia pink. I find myself always drawn to products with those colors?

The title reads Jesus is ....Joy!

I hope you can feel that encouragement in your heart today no matter what stress, problems or challenges you are going through.
products used: American Crafts Dear Lizzy Sweet strawberry & flowering fields papers, Prima Chelsea white e-line flowers, Sew cute Precious embriodered paper, chipboard newsprint alphabet , pebbles, & Flirty journaling cards, Making Memories flocked Hillary chipboard alpha stickers.

easter morning

OK - this photo cracks me up! I had this great idea of getting a quick shot at 8:30AM before church with my kids and 2 of their cousins on Easter morning.
BAD IDEA! The sun was too bright, the girls were whining, and the boys wanted to bolt. I should have a video clip of this disaster ....hilarious!

I loved how real this looks and that it's not a "posed" photo. Priceless!

This layout was completed for the Twopeasinabucket.com challenge to use up some older product.
products used: Making Memories Garden party paper & chipboard stickers, KI Memories butterfly glitter lace diecut sheet, Prima Caboodles #2 & Sultan pink flower centers, Doodlebug Lilywhite frills, rhinestones & boutique brads, Fiskars Scallop sentiment punch, Martha Stewart Doily lace double edge border punch, Pink Paislee Artisan teal paper tape, Heidi Swapp floral journaling spots.

dear lizzy products

I have been counting the days till my Dear Lizzy products finally arrived! The cherry red, pastel colors and cheery patterns caught my eye right away and I couldn't wait to create with them! I used a sketch from the Unity Stamp Co. blog to create this for a NSD challenge.

The title was outlined in Copic markers to create a soft silhouette.

The photos are from last summer when we met Handyman Negri and Speedy Delivery Mr. McFeely from Mister Rogers Neighborhood. Doesn't it bring back childhood memories seeing their sweet faces?
They were just as kind as you'd imagine...

products used: American Crafts Dear Lizzy Flowering fields, Sweet strawberry, Dragonfly dance, Bliss chipboard accent stickers, & Chirp felt pieces, Doodlebug Lilywhite paper frills & Boutique brads, Leaving Prints alphabet stickers, Making Memories diecut paper, Cosmo Cricket Tiny type brown stickers, Jenni Bowlin Orange embellished butterflies, Unity rubber stamps, Fiskars Apron lace border punch, Copic markers.
